Huntsville State Park

We spent Hogmanay day outdoors at Huntsville State Park. It was a beautiful day, warm enough to do a little sunbathing. We lit the bbq by the lake and enjoyed lunch taking in the spectacular views.

Marshmallow Toasting

Although it was chilly we put on our jackets and sat outside toasting marshmallows. The heat of the fire kept us toasty & warm.

Fellowship of the Woodlands

We didn't make the Christmas Eve service because of the flight delays but made it for the regular Sunday Service. Here are Mark & Stephanie beside the prayer fountain.

The Woodlands Ice Rink

Mark, Stephanie and Sarah enjoyed a morning ice skating. They all skated extremely well. Gordon & Jennifer took the easy option and enjoyed watching them, keeping warm with hot chocolate.

Shopping at the Mall

Sarah enjoyed her Boxing Day trip to the Mall to spend her Christmas money. The sales were on so she got some amazing bargains. Sarah says a big thank you to everyone who sent her dollars for Christmas and to everyone who sent lovely gifts over with Mark & Stephanie. This was the first trip to the shops. She had another 2 very good shopping days.

Mark & Stephanie at Godiva, a speciality chocolate store getting chocolate coated strawberries, yum yum.

Everything is bigger in Texas

We enjoyed a lovely meal at Brio, a Tuscan Grill. As you can see the portion sizes are quite large. Mark enjoyed the (whole) chicken and Sarah the lamb chops. Unfortunately we were so full we didn't have room for pudding!!!!!

Merry Christmas 2009

After a very stressful week wondering if Mark & Stephanie would make it in time for Christmas, they finally got here Christmas Eve after being delayed 3 days because of the snow back home and the closure of Aberdeen Airport.
Christmas morning was great fun with presents coming in all shapes and sizes!!!!

Brogan had great fun with his parcels, and shredding all the Christmas paper. He walked around for about 15 mins with this one in his mouth not letting anyone help him open it. It was a giant bone!!!!!
