Solo & Ensemble Competition

Sarah did very well at her Clarinet competition on Saturday. Her scores were excellent and as you can see she was awarded a blue superior ribbon for both sections - the highest award.

From Lemons to Tomatoes

We seem to be having a little more success with our tomato plant. We had three tomatoes when we bought it and now we have nine.

Martha Washington - Wax Museum

This is Sarah leaving the house last night dressed as Martha Washington. Her project this year at school was called Wax Museum where each pupil had to research a famous person and find out all about their character, the finale of this project was at school which was set out like a Museum with each pupil having their own display.
Here is Sarah standing in front of her display waiting for the Museum to open.

Once opened, parents were able to walk round each exhibit. The character had to learn a 2 minute speech and when you stopped at an exhibit the charachter would say their speech. That was very daunting for Sarah but she managed perfectly. After an hour of giving her speech countless times she had almost lost her voice. This was part of their final grade so we await her results!!!.

Here is Sarah's friend Logan who was Astronaut Sally Ride.

25 Years at Scientific Drilling

Gordon was presented with this lovely miniature Oil Rig in recognition of his 25 years with Scientific Drilling. Well done Gordon.

More of Rosehearty March 2008

Frisky told me that he was vey upset that Brogan's picture was always on the Blog and that he didn't feature once so Frisky - here you are.
Stuart, Mark and Mam - love ya

This was a case of who could squash Uncle Robert. I think the three of them managed!!!!

Galveston

A trip to our favourite restuarant was on the cards for Nannies last night with us. Here we are after our meal suitably stuffed!!!. The steaks are great.

We also went to Galvaston where we went to an exhibition on Titanic. We were all given a boarding pass with a name and details on it and at the end of the exhibition you could see on the roll of honour board if you survived or not. Gordons theory is that he stayed till the last making sure everyone that could possibly get off got off safely!!!!!.

Here we are at Galvaston Beach with Sarah and Nanny looking out into the Gulf of Mexico.
